Day 42 – Sierra City

It was windy and cloudy in the morning. The type of weather that spurs quick miles. It was 22 miles to highway 49 and Sierra City where I could do a small resupply and then get back on the trail and push towards the Cascade Mountain Range. Everything went perfectly and I even ran some of the largely downhill day. After Sierra City was a monster climb, but after a couple beverages in town, it was not too difficult. The day ended at Tamarack Lakes where some car campers offered food and beer. I couldn’t hike on with that offer on the table.

Miles hiked 33
