PCT day 64-I am walking through the heart of the Cascade Mountain Range. Within couple miles of starting out there were sweeping views of Mt. Jefferson as we walked through Jefferson Park. There is less snow than I was anticipating which only adds to the fun. Ben has taken some amazing pictures featuring both Mt Hood and Jefferson. After the climb out of The basin there was a long exposed area where both mountains could be seen along with other incredible peaks. The only thing that did not cooperate was the weather. For the first time in over 700 miles there was rain. In true northwest fashion it drizzled most of the day and through the night. I passed by Jude Lake and Olallie lake and tomorrow will be moving by Timothy Lake and up towards Timberline lodge.
